DUP181 offers excellent cutting performance, precision and ease of use for professional cutting and landscaping work.
18V LXT® Li-Ion battery power and an efficient brushless motor allow you to cut branches up to 30 mm in diameter with smooth and even movements. A sensor integrated into the motor ensures precise synchronization of the blade with the trigger, providing instant response and precise control even at low speeds, resulting in clean and correct cuts.
Designed for all-day use, the branch shears have a slim handle with a circumference of 125 mm, which offers excellent manageability and reduces fatigue.
Four adjustable blade opening angles allow you to quickly adapt to branches of different thicknesses, increasing work efficiency and reducing the load during continuous cutting.
The practical standby mode allows the tool to rest safely in the belt pocket until the next cut is in order. The lightweight construction makes the branch shears ideal for long-term outdoor work.
Maintenance is quick and easy. Lubricating oil can be added from the outside without disassembling the tool, and the cutting depth is easy to adjust after changing the blade. The durable construction and the brushless motor solution extend both the working time and the life of the tool.
Additional protection is provided by water resistance compatible with the XPT system, an electric brake that stops the blade in an instant, and a battery protection system that prevents overload, over-discharge and overheating.

The extended 3-year warranty applies only to devices purchased from authorized dealers of Makita OY's Estonian branch.
The warranty is valid only for models imported by Makita Oy's Estonian branch (Finnish subsidiary).
The extended warranty is granted only if the device is registered on the Makita website within 4 weeks of the purchase date. The warranty period is calculated from the date of purchase.

From the Makita website, you can print the extended warranty certificate and also the purchase document if you have uploaded it.
If the device is sent for service under the extended warranty, the purchase document and warranty certificate must be included.
