Thanks to the geometry of the cutting edges and high-quality chrome-vanadium steel, the Knipex 73 06 160 X-Cut allows precise cuts for both fine copper wire and thick multi-strand cable, with a diameter of up to 12 mm. The X-Cut cutting edges easily pass through nails and wires, including spring steel wire (piano wire).

These compact diagonal cutters with a box-joint offer maximum stability, as the plier handles stabilize each other in the joint: The Knipex 73 06 160 X-Cut joint axle is mounted on both sides, the inner handle edges of the pliers are guided from both sides. The chrome coating allows easy cleaning and is an advantage if the tool is permanently located in a service vehicle, where condensation can occur due to temperature changes. The chrome-coated surface offers effective corrosion resistance.
