The pre-filter can also be installed on the submersible pump.
The use of a pre-filter is especially recommended when the pump is used to pump heavily contaminated water, e.g. from a foundation pit or flooded areas.
The filter is used to prevent larger particles of dirt from clogging the pump. This protects the pump rotor and prevents the pump from clogging with pieces of branches and other dirt particles, thus increasing the reliability of the pump.
The pump pre-filter with a mesh opening of approximately 5 mm is suitable for SP 1–SP 5 Flat/Dirt series submersible pumps.
