The Bosch PRO GRG18V-16 is a cordless rivet gun for installing blind rivets. It is suitable for applications such as OEM manufacturing, the HVAC and automotive industries, and construction and installation work, including facade and roofing work. The tool installs rivets with diameters of 3–6,4 mm.
Cordless power allows greater freedom of movement on the job site, without the cables and additional equipment of a pneumatic tool. AUTO and MANUAL modes let you choose the operating mode to suit your preference. The set includes four rivet nosepieces (3,0/3,2 mm, 4,0 mm, 4,8/5,0 mm and 6,4 mm) and a wrench for changing them. The HMI display shows the tool status, while the LED light improves visibility in the work area.
The tool is designed for installing blind rivets. The diameter of the rivet used must be between 3–6,4 mm.
Compatible with GBA 18V, ProCORE18V, EXPERT18V, EXBA18V and CORE18V batteries. For full power, the manual recommends at least a 4,0 Ah GBA 18V or EXPERT18V battery, or at least a 5,5 Ah ProCORE18V battery. These are recommendations, not compatibility limitations.
Choose a nosepiece that matches the rivet diameter. The manual's table specifies a 6,4 mm nosepiece for a 6,0 mm rivet. Using a nosepiece and rivet combination not listed in the table may result in poor fastening or tool malfunction.
In AUTO ON mode, briefly press and release the switch; the tool completes the riveting automatically. In AUTO OFF, or manual mode, hold the switch down until the rivet is installed and the mandrel breaks off. According to the manual, depending on the rivet and nosepiece combination, manual mode may allow faster riveting.
Always use the tool with the collection container for broken-off rivet mandrels attached. Empty the container before it is completely full to prevent jamming, and check that the mandrel has fallen into the container before installing the next rivet.
If the jaw inspection reminder lights up, inspect the jaws.
The LED work light switches on automatically when the on/off switch is pressed.
